My current research areas are:
– Ridefree, a distributed traffic model where people participate in giving and receiving rides in metropolitan Helsinki area
– my software company

The Ridefree project is taking a lot of time. I’m on the road making a model of current traffic near Helsinki. The area will be divided into segments, whose in- and out flow will be measured and then mathematical estimation patterns developed.
I’m also very interested in the nitty gritty ie. seeing how it feels to really drive in there and observe how people utilize vehicles. The forms taking place are taxi, bus, different forms of urban traffic (subway, rails, etc.)
Bought my first car couple of weeks ago, it’s a Volkswagen Golf III 2.0 liter.

Hi! A bit updated description. Code enthusiasta, technology optimist, but also a realist. In my blog I wrote 80% of technology related articles, mostly in English and Finnish. I like to envision and ponder about things, how life could be, what we are doing wrong today, and so on. "Invented" a facebook -like system in 2000, as a short product pamphlet. Haven't yet realized the 20+ ideas that might have become big things. Maybe learning this skill one of these days!
