As quite a regular McDonald’s visitor and client, I’m a fan of the promptness and stable quality of the fast food restaurant chain.
However, one thing is a total mystery: why are the power outlets so scarce in the restaurants? Getting power to a laptop or mobile phone can be a true pain, like the picture shows: the charger hangs from ceiling.
After I’ve ordered a coffee or a meal and am ready for some relaxing browsing / updating / mails, I often find that I’m not the only hungry one; my cell battery would really need some electron showering. 🙂
Knowing that McDonald’s is an exemplary project in organizational management, I just fear that the “power out” is intentional for some reason – though as a firm believer in information society I have no idea why this would be so.
