Re-reading Arthur C. Clarke: Hammer of God

It’s summer 2021.

Arthur C. Clarke: Jumalan moukari
(engl. ‘Hammer of God’ – 1993)

I just finished reading Arthur C. Clarke novel “Hammer of God“. Absolutely love it! This is the second time for me. Clarke writes in such a fascinating way.

I hate long dialogue, and in general, very thick books. Hammer of God is neither.

Clarke’s signature style is also about the theories and science applied in the books’ very soul. Take a scene from Hammer of God, where the effects of an ion propulsion thruster on the asteroid’s surface are analyzed and presented in detail. I enjoy reading and visualizing in my mind all the things Clarke concocts.

Hammer of God is about fate, civilization, humanity, intelligence and a bit of adventure. Highly recommended!
